Blog 2: Why do I need to manage my project design and implementation?
Product design is the development of
new ideas that leads to the development of new products. Product design and
implementation is an essential life skill that plays an important role in many
aspects of people’s life. It enables
individuals and organisations to create goals, ethics and a culture they
wish to be perceived as.
Research shows that the average
classroom teacher will make more than 1500 educational decisions every school
day. In an average 6 hour school day, that’s more than four decisions every
minute. With the overwhelming amount of decisions educators must make on a
daily basis, they need to ensure that their time management is efficient and
effective. Strong time management skills as an educator will benefit their own self
development, students, parents and the overall Education department.
Students will see the
benefits of their educator having a timely work schedule, for example their
classroom plans will always be on time, homework will be marked swiftly and new
ideas will always be created instead of the same learning plans. Students will continually grow and learn throughout the school year if their teacher is well organised.
The benefits
of having time management will see that educators are rewarded for their
efforts. This can be seen through promotions, other teachers seeking advice
and learning ideas from them and overall job satisfaction within themselves.
Without having time management skills
can leave educators in a vulnerable position to be held accountable for. Unsuccessful marks in students work (Naplan) and unkempt
records of students work means they are unable to show parents and the Education
department the progress students have been making leaving them with unsatisfying results.
Product design and implementation is a crucial skill that educators need to have in order to be successful in all aspects of teaching.

Okay, Emma, you're improving your writing and providing your perspectives. It is vital you remember to use citations when you say things such as, "Research shows that the average classroom teacher will make more than 1500 educational decisions every school day." Who said this? There are no references mentioned in the writing and this must be altered in future posts. However, your views regarding the impact of teacher management and student learning are very good. Well done, but still room for improvement.
ReplyDeleteHi Emma,
ReplyDeleteYour post is thoughtful and perceptive, exemplified by your clear and concise view of the topic in the opening paragraph. Your ideas successfully made me ponder how I should engage with project design and implementation (PDI) to enhance my professional development and embolden students’ critical thinking (Keller, 2013).
However, this post necessitates the support of scholarly literature. You show great insight but referencing and in-text citations authenticate your opinion. Furthermore, albeit informative, using first-person (since the question is posed that way) would attest that you feel passionately about using PDI for the benefit of your individual advancement and students’ learning.
You ended your post well with a succinct sentence reaffirming your understanding.
